Don’t forget to #RT (re-tweet) posts that you like. This is a great way to get respect of other tweeters, and this is another great way to interactive with other tweeters. To do this you just need to copy the post, paste it in your text box and put an #RT in front of it. This shows that you’re not selfish! Re-tweeting exposes the post to your followers and possibly will get the poster new followers. Others will return the favor when they see you RTing.

Thank new followers (send them a welcome direct message (DM)). It is common courtesy to follow someone back who follows you, but don’t be afraid not to follow people who you don’t want to follow, you will know who these people are Don’t be afraid to send someone a message - to do that you type @username then type your message as normal. This is called an @ message, and people will see these listed on their home page. This helps build relationships with your followers.

Always Interact with your Twitter followers! Build relationships, provide good information and NEVER EVER try to sell them. Offer help and eventually you will start to reap your rewards by getting leads to your business.

Some tools out there are, Social Oomph which helps you to automate a DM to all the followers, post tweets and also by following people. Use bit.ly to shorten your URLs, you only have 140 characters to post a tweet so this helps you to post a little bit more in your tweet.

A great way which to get more followers is to look at one of you followers and look at their followers. Then you will have a list of 20 tweeters, which then I would follow all of them and would do so for the next 4 pages, so in total you are now following 100. I would do this 5 days a week which if you do the math = 500 that you are following a week. Now not all of those 500 tweeters will follow you back, so after a week you shouId use a tool for Twitter which is called Huitter, this tool is fantastic for unfollowing people which don’t follow you back. Twitter has a rule that your followers and the people you are following must be within 10% with each other, other wise Twitter will not let you follow any more people, so Huitter really helps you to increase your followers.

Another tool which is great, is DM Wacker. What Twitter lacks is the mass delete of direct messages, as you will learn you can only delete them one by one, and if you start getting 500 direct messages a week it can become a chore deleting these DM. Now don’t just delete all of you messeges, lets not forget why you are using Twitter…….But once you have scanned through them and replyed to some of them its time to push one button to trash them all. This tool is a bookmarklet, enter in DM whacker in your search engine and you will come across it. This site will explain how to use this very time saving tool.

There are 100’s of tools for Twitter, but the ones I have listed are a few of the better ones.

Did you even watch the video? It was simply a welcome video saying hello and introducing myself. Nothing more. I only tagged you with it as you and I have recently become connected here on FB and I wanted my introduction to be unique. I didn’t realize that saying “hello” to someone would ever upset them as it obviously did with you. It is sad that others have ruined this approach of saying hello by blatantly pitching their business in the video. Consider the welcome video removed

I’m not here to knock one side or the other. I just tag my new friends in a video where I simply introduce myself and give a virtual handshake. People pay more attention to a video than a message that says “Hey, welcome to my network. I look forward to networking with you.” Do you know how many of those i get every single day? How is that separating yourself from everyone else that does the same thing?

Maybe I’m in the minority on this issue, but my video comments directly to that video sure seem to support my point of view.

Now there is still some inexperienced marketers out there who still don’t get it, so the answer to the question “to tag or not to tag” I would 100% say tag, but only if you were doing what my fellow facebooker was doing. I would defiantly not be tagging anyone in a video or note directing them to a landing page etc, this would then be very inappropriate.

After being a home business owner for 4 years, 3 years of mastering the time consuming life draining old school MLM methods having my confidence beaten with a million NO’s and pulling myself back on a high for the next one I was tied and worn out when I finally took action to educate myself about the Internet I just knew their had to be a better way, which ultimately ended up in me taking my entire presence online and near enough starting all over again. Learning new skills and growing like I had never grown before, I was an abundance of past and present knowledge just ooossing to share with the rest of the world but their was one thing stopping me, my confidence, I was scared of getting it wrong, what would people think! God knows why lol I was used to training at seminars full with 100s and have danced in front of 1000s. I found my reminders and solutions in “The Magic of Thinking BIG” by David J. Schwarts and here are the five simple steps that I have Incorporated from the teachings of this book that made my confidence sore……………………………………

Step One: Take Action Promptly and be Decisive

It’s simple Just do it, if you’ve had a good intuitive idea and then all of a sudden you don’t action it because you are fearful of the out come, what if it goes wrong? what if others don’t like it? your brain will kick in and back up those negative thoughts. Don’t allow yourself to get that far just get into action, action is the biggest fear killer and you need to stop it in it’s tracks because fear is the biggest killer of success. SO just make the decision stick to your guns and get to action.

Step Two: Don’t Dwell on bad thoughts or experiences

When a problem arises, and you feel like you can’t find the solution DON’T sit their and think it’s you , you just can’t do it, or it’s someone else fault (us humans like to pass the buck) because guess what, your brain says “OK then, your right I can’t do it” or “yes it’s not my fault it’s Joe Blogs Fault” and goes ahead and backs you up by bringing up all the other failures in the past to back up your disbelieving thoughts. Or poor Joe gets it. either way you end up still in the problem and not feeling to good about it.

Instead of beating yourself or Joe up ask yourself this:
“I face a difficult challenge, I would like some reassurance, how can I overcome this problem successfully?”

And guess what your brain will say OK and start to reassure you about all your successes, which will in turn give you the courage and confidence to find the solution and you will be amazed at the results, there will be no stopping you.

Don’t dwell on bad thoughts or experiences, confident successful people don’t give it another thought, successful people specialise in positive putting thoughts into their memory bank and that’s Step 3…….

Step Three: Add Positive thoughts into your memory bank every day

This will make the bad ones fade away and also when the bad and the ugly do show up, it’s so easy to let them go because you have so many goodies to push them out of the way and this is so easy.

When you have a quiet time (like in the bathroom, tea break, lunch time and before bed) make sure to remember Happy, Positive Thoughts and memories, situations what you are grateful for, etc… feed you positivity every day and in turn your confidence will grow, you will develop a healthier mind and it keeps your body well to.

Step four: Get into the habit of kicking bad thought out

You will get them but the more you do this the sooner you will faise them out.

When ever you find a bad thought entering your head find something positive about the situation, if you can’t then switch your mind off from it, go find something else that is positive to occupy your thoughts, something positive and productive. (remember action kills fear!)

This is what your mind wants you to do anyway it thrives on the good stuff, it knows that’s what makes you grow and evolve and this is what we are hear for evolution.

For example in advertising psychology we are taught that the viewer is more likely to remember a positive image than an unpleasant one because the brain thrives on positivity as it knows it’s detrimental to our growth and more often than not it tends to forget or dismiss the unpleasant image because it could be diminishing for our growth.

Many psychologist’s have been known to say they would be out of a job if people could master one simple thing - simply destroy any negative thought before it becomes a mental monster! So Kick them out and keep them out.

Step Five: Confident Actions produce Confident Thinking

It’s true when you start acting to do anything you soon start to feel it to, don’t just take my word for it, try it out and you will see how great it feels, try these 5 confident acts out and feel your confidence fly.

Don’t think about it, just DO IT (remember step one)

1. Be a “front seater”
At the next webinar or conference call be the first to say hello and introduce yourself get their 3 mins early make the good impression and be pleased with yourself, at the next conference get their early and sit up the front with the successful people, feel their energy and learn from them.

2. Make eye contact
Show you have nothing to hide, go make that first video, go be you and you will feel great because you took action, remember that every human being may be different but we have far more similarities than differences so you have nothing to fear or hide because we are all the same, they are just like you

3. Speak up
At the next team discussion, or Master mind call be the first to ask the question, to break the ice, don’t be afraid if someone might not agree with what you have to say because for everyone that doesn’t their will be someone who dose and you will look and feel like the important one for adding value and taking the lead. (That’s what leaders do)

4. Walk 25% Faster
Successful people walk with a spring in their step ahead of the crowd with their head held high, try putting the spring into things and just feel that confidence high.

5. SMILE BIG
You know when you smile how it makes you feel, so do it to make you feel happy even when you don’t feel like it, force yourself and before you know it you will be beaming, and it’s contagious so you make everyone around you feel great as well creating the perfect atmosphere for success, people can hear you smile on the phone, even when you write it shows and it can even get you out of trouble, you just ask my 3 year old son how many times his Georges smile has got him out of a telling off! So SMILE BIG and you will get BIG Results.

So it really is quite simple, if you don’t allow yourself to recall bad and unpleasant thoughts and memories, by dismissing them, not letting them stick, just let them slip away and replace them by constantly filling your mind with positive thoughts, memories, achievements and actions, you will conquer your fears and your confidence will sore.

If you take the no Excuses, action packed Highway and put your Desire Into Action, you will achieve success.

Remember It’s Your Turn to Shine so JUST DO IT.

Staying Power
If you have the ability to stick it out when your future is uncertain, or when mistakes have been made, then you have an excellent chance in achieving your goals, This is fortunate as whilst most of us do not possess cheetah-like agility or owl-like wisdom, the majority of people can realistically manage to be as stubborn as a mule. I have a wonderful friend who often refers to getting her rhino hide on when it comes to battling through challenges.

It is quite likely in the opening stages of your business you will be having to learn as you go and perform a range of unfamiliar tasks, so the longer you can stick it out the better. You will need to maintain a positive attitude toward problems and be prepared to put in some extra effort to solve or
bypass them. In fact this process will be continues if you want to become successful in your field especially if it is internet marketing or network marketing, because this is a ever changing business with technology and consumer demand changing constantly. Successful entrepreneurs in any kind of business will tell you they never stop learning and improving their skills and value. Remember that even when you find something really difficult - if you keep
doing it, no matter how badly, it is practically impossible that you will get worse at it.

Be adaptable and take opportunities
Often establishing the infra-structure of a business can feel very much like building a house on quick sand (we’ve all done it).You are trying to construct a systematic frame-work to produce and
distribute your products or services while, at the same time, you are having to learn new things about the market you are in – some of which may contradict measures you have already put into place. If you are involved with a good network marketing company or a mastermind group then the training and support network should be at hand and this infer-structure should be in place to ease the load a little. Giving you more time to learn and be creative.

You need to be prepared to adapt your plans based on the new information you receive, and also keep yourself open to take new directions as opportunities present themselves. Opportunities come and go regularly – it’s easy not to follow things up or fail to put your self out there. If you do miss an opportunity learn from it, don’t chastise yourself – there will be others.

Be prepared to feel pretty strange quite a lot of the time
Running your own business is decidedly odd. Suddenly all the restraints and structure of being part of somebody else’s system JOB no longer apply to you. It can be exciting, confusing and frightening. Running a business requires you to learn a bit of everything, not just cherry pick the things you have an aptitude for.

For many this may bring up feelings of self-doubt and inferiority – networking is a common bugbear that seems to stir up these feelings in new business owners, which often leads to them avoiding opportunities to attend events. In relation to this I refer you back to fundamental two – Stamina. But fortunately we now have web 2.0 and social media to help us over come this horror, we can comfortably ease into networking from the comfort of our own home, a revelation when it comes to allowing us to be ourselves and not some suited and booted, up tight awkward looking individual that is to scared to open their mouth and mess things up for themselves. No two ways about it – running your own business is odd. But, odder still, with enough practice it will become normal. In-fact I know I talk for most entrepreneurs like myself when I say you become so used to it you become unemployable. It’s a fantastic feeling.

Ask questions and make good business relationships
Finally, you might be surprised how forthcoming many business owners are if you ask them questions – in fact, you may have difficulty shutting some of them up. There are always common problems and issues in running a business, whether your business is in a related field to the person you are talking to or not. And again thanks to social media it has become even easier to form relationships with other successful business owners within your field, if you keep it open and honest with a genuine purpose to form a relationship that will help both parties, you will share some great wisdom and make some great friends. I have avoided potential pitfalls and benefited from many things I would have known nothing about if I had not had conversations with other business owners.

So there you have it - be happy; be strong; be adaptable; be odd; be inquisitive and make good relations - and if you do take the plunge (or have already!) I hope you find it as rewarding and positive an experience as I have.

GET TO KNOW YOUR customers and the market in you’re online business. Keep informed about what’s going on in your industry. The online business community is forever changing, always keep your eye out for the latest wave in technology or marketing technique that could put you in front of the rest. This is ‘content’ information. Learn about criteria and values words in your online business industry. Then you’ll have a place to start with your advertising.

This technique is a great way to get everyone talking about what you have to offer. And a valuable lesson you will use in your marketing many times over. I know I will and this is one of the key components that has turned me from struggling MLM’er to a confident online Network Marketer and finally seeing my goals become a reality.

SINCE WORDS are what we attach to meaning, they are valuable. So do your home work or, here’s one for you: CREATE NEW WORDS!! That’s right, be the first on your block to have the WOW the new XYZ!!! get them talking!

IS IT DIFFICULT? No, people do it every day. As a matter of fact, people make lots of money just coming up with new words for companies all the time. How do you think companies come up with
brand names for new products? Have you seen the clip from Eben Pagan that will help you get really creative with this.

I REMEMBER my dad telling me about when he first tried rum, it was in the ‘80’s from seeing a billboards around that had a great picture of a pirate and the words ‘Captain Morgan is Coming’. Dad said he and mum wondered, ‘Who is Captain Morgan? Is it a new musical group, a new radio personality?’ Well, after a few months, they learned that ‘Captain Morgan’ was not a person, or persons, but the name of a rum!

THEY LAUGHED AND THOUGHT that was really cool because they got so curious and kept that curiosity. Dad said “we, ourselves, are not particularly rum drinkers, but after a few more months, we just had to buy a bottle and try it out!! We were still curious!!!” The state remained constant even though the reference, for my parents, had changed from person to thing!

SO, YOU HAVE A unique product or service? Think about it. Now think about what it does FOR THE CUSTOMER!! What’s the Benefit? What’s the Value? Now, as you think about it, fully associate into it and say the first thing that comes to your mind once fully associated. Write it down. This is your new BUZZ WORD

NOW YOU GET YOUR NEW “buzz word”, but here’s the special part about buzzwordinging, it’s best done in 3 steps:
Step 1: Buzzword with someone who is familiar with your product or service, maybe they work with you, for example.
Step 2: Do not buzzword more than 3 times and write all the possibilities down.
Step 3: Test with people OUTSIDE your company to find out what it does for them. They should be, at least, familiar with your company and/or industry, they could be a customer who you can trust to give you honest feedback. You could try this with your face book group or any other forum or online group you may be part of that shares the same business interests with. It’s a bit like starting a rumour have some fun with it BUT…

DO NOT explain the product or service first. Just give them the word(s) and ask them if it interests them to know more. If yes, then explain the product or service by sending them to your website and ask them if it matches your new word(s) make sure they know their feed back is the most important thing. If not, not to worry, it’s the attention getting thing that counts most!! If the word(s) do not get them to want to know more, use the other first and second ones. If you do get a lot of curiosity it could pay to hang it out a little and get people talking and building more curiosity.

THE REASON TO SAVE the first couple and not to go beyond 3 tries at buzzwordinging to me is, having been involved video marketing, the first recording session take is almost always
the best. This is because of the emotional state that people are in ‘at first’. After that, if they decide to take other takes, they go for that ‘perfection’ thing, and often times get frustrated, and then end up with a less effective performance lacking feeling and emotion because it has been taken over with control.

NOW GET THOSE NEW WORDS GOING!! and who knows?
